Welcome to the website of Benson United Methodist Church.  We welcome all persons to worship at our church and treat one another as family.  It is our mission to lift up Jesus Christ in all that we do as a church.  We believe God loves all people and through faith in Jesus Christ brings us into a right relationship with him.  We emphasize a relationship with Jesus more than being religious (or playing church).

Benson UMC is a loving church that seeks to draw persons to Christ, supports one another and is in ministry to the community.  We have been in ministry almost 110 years. We have a vital, growing and loving community that seeks the transformation of its members by the strength of the Holy Spirit to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

We have two full-time ministers and four other part-time staff.  Our activities include:  two men's groups, three women's groups, five plus youth activities, including a scouting ministry, and a large Emmaus community and various small group activities.  We work closely with other area churches through the Benson Ministerial Association to minister to persons with needs in Benson and the surrounding area.

Come and join us as we seek to worship and serve Jesus Christ.  We have a motto, "To serve as a Beacon for Jesus Christ for our community and the world." We also embody the theme of our denomination of "open hearts, open minds and open doors."  You will be a wonderful addition to our family.
