Announcements: **Congratulations to our church on being selected as an ACTS2 Church for the second year Important News Flash--Flamingo Leader Captured
Pay close attention BUMC. I have “flamingo”-napped, BIG PINK, the lead flamingo from the famous flock raising summer funds for your youth group. I heard from several Benson Bassets that the local food pantry is in need of canned food this summer. Here’s the deal, if BUMC does not donate at least 50 canned items to the food bank this week, I will switch Mr. Pinks food from pink shrimp to red grapes. Yep, you guessed it, Big Pink will then be known as Big Purple!! A fate worse than death to a flamingo. If the food pantry receives the canned food this week, Big Pink will be released immediately. You have one week, starting ……. Now!!

Members of BUMC congregation: Congratulations, you have exceeded my demands for a 50 can donation to your local food pantry. In fact I found so many cans waiting to be taken to the pantry, I had to call in my cat buddy with 6 toes to help count. I ran out of toes and was in a panic. Yes, dogs do find cats useful for something once in a while. As promised, I released your head flamingo, Big Pink, back to his flock. He is still pink and was well cared for. Thanks to all of you who participated in this drive. Sometimes during the summer we tend to forget about the needs of our local pantry. God bless, Dakota Bible School Bible School was held from July 12 to July 16 from 6 to 8 pm. Our theme this year was be "Camp Edge - Experiencing and Discovering god Everywhere. We had a large group and alot of fun. Thanks to all the persons who helped make this event such a success!! Graduates Congratulations to our 2009 Graduates. They are Renna Johnson, Mary Beth Raynor, Caleb Aranda, Sydney Johnson, Matthew Guin and Stephanie Morales. We will also recognize Andrew Carroll, Adam Parrish, Cathryn Medlin, Maxton Barber, Aaron Chalkerly, Deanna Selleck and Clint Benson. Our college and professional school graduates are Katherine Auman, Christopher Hicks and John Gregory.
